What to wear for your photoshoot

Why does it matter what I wear?
For me there are three main things when it comes to taking great photos aside from the technical stuff like camera settings and focus. They are light, connection and composition.
What makes a photo gallery even more beautiful though is the styling. This is the best thing you can do in preparation for your shoot; spend time working out what you are all going to wear! Carefully considered clothing choices can really elevate your photos to the next level. Let’s face it you are investing money in these photos, so we want to get the very best out of them!
What to go for
You want to go for coordinated outfits as opposed to matching. Choose a colour palette (I have a suggested colour palette below to try and stick to) and stick within it for the whole family. Earthy, neutral tones photograph amazingly well so they are a great option for the base of your colour palette. Keeping tones muted and neutral helps not to distract the eye from the focus of the photo; your family! Then choose one or two accent colours to compliment your styling.
Textures are also brilliant so think about incorporating a few different textures. Layering clothing helps with this.
What to avoid
Avoid very bright, bold colours and patterns. Also avoid logos, lettering and slogans.
How can I help
I am available on Whats App to help with clothing choices if you are finding it difficult to decide! I am always happy to help.
